Our Montessori teacher training schedule centers on full-time summer coursework, Monday–Friday, at Country Montessori School in Poway, followed by monthly seminars during your practicum year. 2027 dates are coming soon.

Early Childhood
2026: June 22–July 31
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
About 300 hours of summer coursework.
Elementary I
2026 (Part B): June 22–July 10
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
About 325 hours over two summers.
Elementary II
2026: July 13–August 7
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
The Elementary II component of Elementary I–II, offered every other year.
During the school year
Seminars and practicum
- Seminars meet two Saturdays.
- Practicum: 540 hours for Early Childhood, or a full school year (1,080 hours) for Elementary, at a Montessori school you arrange. An MCTE field consultant visits to observe and support you.
- Final assessment for Early Childhood and Elementary takes place the summer after the practicum.

When are the 2027 Montessori teacher training dates?
2027 dates are coming soon. Request info and we will let you know as soon as they are posted.
Where are classes held?
In person at Country Montessori School in Poway, in San Diego County.
What are the daily class hours?
Early Childhood summer coursework meets Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Elementary coursework meets Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
Do classes continue after the summer?
Yes. During your practicum year, seminars meet two Saturdays or one Wednesday afternoon (3:15–5:15 p.m.) a month.
When did the 2026 sessions run?
Early Childhood ran June 22–July 31, Elementary I Part B ran June 22–July 10, and Elementary II ran July 13–August 7.
